Embossing powder is one of those wonderful tools that I just don't use enough! Maybe it's because it's a little bit messy, or because it takes more effort. You know getting up from where I am stamping and walking the two steps to the outlet where I plug in my heat gun. I'm not sure, but I think embossing powder is such a great product with a lot of untapped potential. Yesterday I managed to get some stamping in! I won't tell you how long it took me to create this card or how many layers of ink this formerly Whisper White piece of card stock has. It really is a testament to the thickness of our ultra smooth card stock though. This lovely little 5"x5" card is for my Nana. Yesterday was her 84th birthday and tomorrow we are celebrating with a HUGE family picnic. I needed a card that went above and beyond the usual birthday sentiments. Something that made you go WOW! Now I will be honest it's only 90% because I want Nana to know that I made her something special, because she is special and deserves it. The other 10% well, all of the relatives will be there when Nana happens to open her card. Let's just say that when you make Stamping your business, and your family is seeing an example of it for the first time, you bring your "A" game. So, there you have it! Is it a card or a political statement? LOL! Either way it looks really good to me.
Have a happy and safe 4th of July!
